July update

After a good start to July with the Gold Coast Marathon (see the previous post) I had a week away in Cairns with my partner James – it was a great week of warm weather, snorkelling and exploring with a highlight running Fitzroy Island trail in a dress and thongs!

Coming back refreshed and after a good chat with coach brendan we refined my upcoming races for the next 3months with focus on speedier and shorter races.

Updated calender for Augest/ September/October

– Australian half marathon champs Sunshine Coast

– Australian xcountry champs Wollongong

– Canberra times 14k run

– Surfcoast 50k

– Melbourne half

– Bairnsdale 55k

-10k5k Bega

So July has since been filled with solid training focusing on speed. Although cold it’s been beautiful and clear and I have loved putting together a solid month of training…with my foot finally coming good! Lots of rehab on my behalf (benifits of being a physio!) with this also seeing me approach and become apart of the fisiocream team. It’s a product I use on myself and at work and recommend it as an excellent treatment and recovery massage cream!

So as I round out July and a big k week (192) I am looking forward to speeding up for the start of the next block of races.

Thanks to Salomon for their continued support and gear that I have used in abundance over this chilly month!

Get outside and play
